Unique shape

Offering a total size 5% larger than traditional blades, the innovative shape of the Cybershape is specially optimized for a maximum hitting zone.

Optimized hitting zone

Positioned higher on the blade, the enlarged hitting zone of the Cybershape has been determined by our studies to match the hitting preference of most table tennis players, which is primarily in the upper half of the blade. The Cybershape thus has an 11% larger hitting zone with straight and concave handles, and 9% larger with a penhold grip compared to the classic model.

Closer to the table

Thanks to its unique shape, the Cybershape brings the hitting zone 6.5 cm closer to the table compared to the 2.5 cm of a traditional blade, offering a significant advantage for short strokes and backhand shots.

Larger "sweet spot"

Positioned higher on the blade, the expanded "sweet spot" of the Cybershape promotes precise strikes and optimal stability, providing an enhanced playing experience.

The story behind the Cybershape rackets

The Cybershape hexagonal table tennis racket from Stiga was developed with a focus on testing and objective evaluations.The result of a collaboration with the Kungliga Tekniska Högskola (KTH, Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden) and professional players, its optimized shape has expanded the "sweet spot" by 5 mm upward, enabling more precise strikes.

Tests also confirmed better vibration transmission. The frequency response is also more linear, meaning the vibrations travel differently through the handle and into the hand at impact. For players, this offers a completely new and unique playing feel compared to a traditional blade.

The world’s first blade with “Custom Weight Technology”

STIGA's innovative Custom Weight Technology allows you to adjust the weight of the blade with three weights of 3, 6, and 9 grams that easily attach to the bottom of the handle with a magnet inside the blade. This allows you to adjust the balance point of your STIGA blade according to your playing characteristics.

Depending on where the center of gravity is located, a blade is called head-balanced, handle-balanced, or neutral. If the center of gravity is placed towards the top of the blade, the blade is called head-balanced. If the center of gravity is placed lower, it’s called handle-balanced.
