All Stiga Sports paddle handles are made from high-quality wood and have a surface roughness that ensures optimal grip without the handle being slippery.

Pen / Penholder

A short, wide conical handle.

Its grip allows the wrist to move freely, which is advantageous for returns and all types of serves.

Master / Concave

A concave and thin handle.

Its wider end provides better grip in the palm of the hand. On this type of wood, the center of gravity is closer to the handle.

Classic / Straight

A classic straight handle.

This handle is straight and thicker than a concave handle. It facilitates grip changes between strokes.

Natural wood

Each type of wood has something special to offer, so it’s important to consider the playing characteristics of different types of wood. After testing hundreds of varieties, Stiga Sports has selected its favorite types, which, when combined, provide the best table tennis woods for players at every level.

  • Limba: This soft yet sturdy wood is used for the outer veneers of the racket. It offers better control and touch without compromising speed.
  • Koto: Koto is a harder wood than Limba. It is generally used for topspins and provides a sharper feel for powerful and direct shots.

Reinforced artificial fibers

Carbon fiber is used in various Stiga table tennis racket wood models. This thin and lightweight material helps increase speed while maintaining the lightness of the wood. Stiga's Carbon woods use a unique patented carbon fiber called Spread Tow Carbon, made in Sweden.

How does STIGA use carbon fiber in its racket woods?

  • Traditional outer fiber: The fibers are located under the outer veneer, giving the wood extra power and speed.
  • Close Core Fiber (CCF): Artificial fibers are applied directly to the wooden core, preserving the racket's original characteristics while offering the feel of an all-wood racket with fewer vibrations. The Close Core Fiber structure allows for longer contact time between the ball and the covering.
